Spring begins March 21st!

If that's not a happy thought, I don't know what is.
"Happiness is the ultimate realization that everything was, and is, exactly as it should be."
Paul from The Netherlands

“Just think how happy you would be if you lost everything you have right now, and then got it back again.”

~Frances Rodman

"What's the use of worrying?
It never was worth while,
So pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag,
And smile, smile, smile.
-- George Asaf

There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying things which are beyond the power of our will.

Everyone knows that vacations are fun....methinks everyone likes to get away from grey skies and all the cold during this time of year and go somewhere warm and exciting and different. But methinks many people forget the other wonderful part of going on vacations--coming home!

In all our desire to keep moving forward, methinks we sometimes forget how nice it is to be where we're at, and how wonderful things can be right where we are. Stability isn't always the most interesting thing in life, but it's still nice, having a warm house with all your old friends nearby. Home is nice...familiar and comfortable, and worn down in all the right places. Home doesn't have to be where you're born, or where you live....it's more of a feeling, methinks. A feeling of being safe and happy and where you belong. Maybe it's possible to have more than one home, even. And then, how lucky are you!

So when you go home today, or tomorrow, just sit for a moment and think...feel everything around you. There's even a smell to home....a comfort that gives it the name. It's even possible to give yourself a vacation at home, methinks...just put up your feet and enjoy where you're at!
The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof. -Barbara Kingsolver

Good evening, everyone!

Sometimes it's okay to be sad.

You know why?

Becasue if we didn't feel sad, we'd never know what happiness feels like! I we felt happiness all the time, it wouldn't be special at all! So, the next time you're sad, just keep in mind...even though you feel depressed today, that just means that you'll feel so much better when happiness comes back your way!

With lots of love and hugs, your friend,

Salut, tout le monde!

Remember baths?

Methinks a lot of people sort of grow out of baths. After a certain age, people assume that it's just better to hurry through a shower to get clean instead of taking the time and effort to take a bath. But it doesn't have to be that way!

Not only do they give you time to slow down and think about things, but they're also good for you! A lot of people in the world today are always stressed out over something. And for good reason! Today's world is a lot faster and more complicated than the world I remember from when I was younger, and you have to learn how to adapt to it to stay afloat in it. (No pun intended, dearies!) Baths are a great way to diffuse some of the stress of the world, to relax tensed muscles, and to improve mental health in general.

Not only that, but you can always take advantage of baths to catch up on your reading, or listen to some of your favorite music. And if you live in an environment where you spend a lot of time around other people, they are the perfect way to get away for a while without ever leaving your own him. They aren't expensive, either--all that's needed is water, and whatever you feel like putting into it to make it more to your liking. (And they make a lot of neat things to put into baths now, don't they? Like those cute little things that melt in water and are shaped like animals and flowers...)

So, the next time you're feeling blue, or stressed, or pressured, try taking a bath to make yourself feel better. If it doesn't improve your mood, at the least, you'll be a little refreshed by the experience! ^^

With lots of love and hugs, your friend,
